Would you like to join Steve Brookes on a very special trip to Brazil with a chance to see up to 17 species and sub-species of parrots of which 7 are Endemic to Brazil including Learís Macaws, one of the rarest Macaws in Brazil and another 6 Parrot sub-species also Endemic to Brazil along with many other Brazilian Birds and wildlife as we travel the Eastern state of Bahia in this stunning South American country (full parrot list below).

In all a unique journey with many exciting encounters around every corner, in 2013, 2015 and 2016 we saw about 400 Learís Macaws each time (about a third of their entire wild population) all together flying directly over us

Due to the logisitics of this trip it is limited to a maximum of 8 participants

  BRAZIL 4th Ė 9th APRIL 2017
Pantanal - Hyacinth Macaws

The Pantanal is an immense tropical wetland located mainly in western Brazil's Mato Grosso do Sul state. Renowned for its wildlife, it's home to hundreds of species of birds, along with fauna like jaguars, caimans and capybaras. Summer rains flood the region, while the winter dry season creates plentiful lagoons.

The highlight of this trip will definitely be the Macaws, with 6 species to be seen in this area, including the very special Hyacinth Macaws. Whenever I have visited the Pantanal in Brazil, which has been frequent over the last 16 years, I have seen Hyacinth Macaws every day and I see no reason why we should not be so fortunate again on this trip.

Throughout this trip we are likely to see in excess of 150 bird species which should include up to 18 species of Parrots including 6 Macaw species with many opportunities to photo, video or just observe them in their Natural Habitats.
Most of the Parrots and Macaws can be found at any time around our lodge so we do not have to go far to have some amazing close encounters.
  ARGENTINA and CHILE
30th OCTOBER TO 17thNOVEMBER 2017

This will be a trip to truly remember for all the right reasons. Patagonian Conures by the thousand with Austral and Slender-billed Conures, are some of the special Parrots that cannot be seen in any other country but also some amazing scenery with glorious colours of the mountains in the Salta/Jujuy region, the coastal areas of the Valdes Peninsula and the lake crossings in Chile as well as lots of other birds, including Flamingoes and Condors, and wildlife, including Right Whales, Sea Lions and Elephant Seals, as we travel to the North-west and Patagonian regions of Argentina and into Chile.
